This one just scares the bejeebies outta me! *lol* But, going past my beliefs and seeing the image as an image and not something scarey... dead on with focus on the candle, flame and wick! And that you took the time to line it up the pendant, gives added points. And even though the face and eyes are not in focus, you are automatically drawn to them, which in turn pulls you back to the pendant, which moves you back to the candle and flame. I see an extra bible verse for me tonight. ;-)

I really love the dark and mysterious feel to this picture. Nicely composed as well. Maybe a little more light in the eyes would of bumped up the intensity even more for me. Something about those eyes scream "seduce me". Regardless, I really like it. 9

Nice one. I especially like the wax drippings on the candle, which most entries seemed to lack.

While I personally don't like the subject matter, the image is very well done. The DOF works well, as does the candle light glow.

Returning for comment.
First you got my high vote. This image displays a strong visual dark beauty. However, there is a glaring esoteric error here. White magicians use it in this postion while the black magicians employed it upside down. The topic of necromancy considered negative and dark will want to see the pentacle inverted.

Returning for final bump given for expert exposure with candle and flame.

Nice David's Star

Composition, set-up, and lighting are all in fine tune to invoke the imagery presented here. The flame on the candle is in perfect focus and with it's position in center of the frame it immediately captures the eye's attention. The choice of the candle with red & black burned wax running down the sides was excellent in creating the mood and further strengthening the connection to necromancy and/or satanic practices. The imagery is further strengthened by coupling the symbol of the stereotypical five pointed satanic symbol hovering behind and just above the flame from the candle. In the background we notice the hooded figure whose intense stare is leveled on the symbol and the flame.
