 "Burning Sensuality" - NOT to be confused with 'Burning Sensation' - they are TOTALLY different things! :-)

My wife was ever so kind to model for this picture and endure the pain of burning hot wax on her belly - this only lasted for about 15 shots, but I got pretty close to what I envisioned, so we called it a wrap after 15 (beggars can't be choosers). Lighting was done with two candles, one off to the left and a couple of feet in front of her head (to provide some contours and lighting in the shadows) and the other as seen in the picture. Post processing was basically crop, some minor levels and sharpening.

Concept is great... only thing I would change is to use a red candle and maybe hold it higher a little bit, so that the shadow on the right is not so 'shadowy'. ;-)

Erotic shot. I am concerned about the heat that particular type of candle would generate when the wax is dropped on the skin. Perhaps that is what caused the obvious goosebumps.

Ah yes... I was wondering when I was going to see the ole candlewax drip trick... Good idea, but I think the execution is somewhat lacking. The sensuality is lost in the composition.

I like the tight focus, although the shadow beneath the candle seems a little overpowering.

excellent... would have liked it even better with red or white wax....better blend with the skin tone

Ouch - looks painful, reminds me of that Madonna film. I like the composition and the candle definitely creates an impact! 8.
