Taken at the Chula Vista Nature Center (CA). Although it's sad to see the birds caged, particularly the predatory birds, all of the birds there are being cared for because they were badly injured or would not be able to survive by themselves in the wild for some other reason.

A shy critter to be taking a shot durign the day! Nice composition. You might try experimenting with cropping closer, as the background doesn't add a whole lot to this image.

The curve of the tree leads your eye to the left to the leaves and fence away from your subject.

Oh, how wonderful! What a lucky sighting! You did a great job with the focus and the lighting.

Gee! How did you come across this little guy? What a perfect picture. The sun falling on him is so good. I like the way he's looking straight on. You have a very good picture here.

Great nature photo - but I think it would have looked better with a smaller depth of field, as the fence in the background is a bit distracting

Nice shot but looks a little over exposed. Maybe some levels and contrast adjustment would make it even better.

Nice catch. A couple of suggestions, #1 needs more contrast, a bit too grey. #2 crop in on both sides to get rid of the man made fencing, would look more natural that way (2 inches on left, 1 on the right).

Try adjusting your exposure in your camera. It will fix the the brightness on the bird.

bit bright

Nice focus and DOF. I think this could use a little adjustment in contrast to make it a little bolder and provide more detail. 7

Great capture, but the colors seem a touch muted to me. Perhaps overexposed in the foreground. Maybe some adjustments in contrast/brightness, or color saturation would help.
