This is a fantastic shot. I especially like the drop of water dangling from the beak. Very crisp, looks like I can reach in and pet him... |

The drop on the beak really helped make this one. Very crisp with excellent DOF. Congrats. on 6th place. |

Sharp focus on the subject and isolation from the background. May be a lottle less neck would have been a stronger composition. Nice job. |

This will be very popular. It's a nice photo of the subject, and the depth of field has removed all possible distractions. That will be widely admired by the voters, as will the droplet of water.
I prefer those images that employ depth of field to some more ambitious artistic purpose, but that's just me. 6. |

Gees, my deep sense of nature demands coming and fixing this poor chap's beak with my bare hands! Nice one, but with subject lined up in a sinngle plane I'd like to see all areas sharp and the beak with the drop certainly looses out here. |

wonderful photo. but I dont feel it really meets the challange goes from 7 to 6. (i.e. not using the shallow dof as an element in the picture) |

8 - Oh, very nice. Criticism; very difficult, but, I'd like to see the entire beak (Roman nose) sharper, but difficult with your 'focus' I imagine. I like the drop at the end of the beak, which if enhanced/emphasized, 'somehow', make this even better. Very difficult to 'criticize' (pull apart) this shot, especially given the subject (flamingos). Perhaps some 'blown' issues on the beak, not sure, and any contrast 'tweaking' likely very difficult. Good DOF too. |

the 1 thing i don't like is the framing...i think it should be a virt. and more of the neck should have been shown .....if that would at all be possible...but if not then it is a fine image as it is....(virts. always make the scean more dramatic.....)GL |
