Camera: Canon PowerShot G2

After much debate, I decided to go with a less traditional city shot. Since I'm in an internet cafe here without the original, I don't know the camera settings.

I agree with swashy...you got ripped.

Great work. I was jealous of you to be honest. One of my ten best :-)

Uhh. Interesting.

I dig this, but I wish all the vertical lines were more perfectly vertical -- everything needs to be rotated a few degrees counter-clockwise. Nice use of color matching along with an interesting "background".

good work....very original

Very funny! This whole shot seems tilted to the right, though.

Great how the 'aquarium' resembles both the color and the angle of the buikding.

Quite funny!

What?

I'm not sure that's what I'd wear to a job interview...
06/28/2002 12:23:00 AM
What the!? cool though
06/27/2002 09:45:00 AM
This is very odd.

Very cool performance art kind of idea. I don't know about the background elements though, it could have been a more exciting photo. The palm fronds right behind his head are the most distracting part, for me. I like the geometry and colours of the pink wall and the little building there, but if it was all a bit tighter it would be more effective.

Very creative. I would have angled the camera much more, maybe so that the water line was level and then cropped even tighter. You've gone this far, I think you should take it a little further.

Let me guess, he has an extreme allergy problem! :-) As far as the picture goes, it is focused well, and I think I like the different colors. As far as the subject matter goes, why would someone want to walk around with that on their head?

quirky,
06/26/2002 10:52:00 AM
really bizarre

Surreal. I do wonder what that guy is doing. Could you have rotated it to make that building parallel to the side of the frame without cropping out the guy?

cluttered. structure distracts from subject (I mean, I assume the guy with the tank on his head is the subject).

this is just wacky. heh. i think i'm bothered by the tilt in this shot. otherwise, it's a good concept and well composed. but i really think it would have been better zoomed out a tad and straightened up. the colors are really nice, but i'd also like to see a black and white version. something about the artsy commentary here i think would just look good in b&w.

Wierd. Great colors. I'd love to see that beautiful sky...not the overpass/building. More of the victims body would be nice too. 7

Great message. Great photo if not a bit freaky "9" Dogman.

Where on earth did you dig this guy up? I've never seen anything like this, very amusing!
06/24/2002 08:35:00 PM
What the?
06/24/2002 08:28:00 PM
You obviously went to some effort to setup this shot -- I might like it more if there weren't so many elements competing for attention (the pink wall, the weird boxy room on stilts, etc)......is the focal point the guy in the tank (drowning)?

would have been awesome for this week's challenge of semi-transparency.

Very cool, but I do see how this trick is done. You are trying very hard for a winner, you may have succeeded. Really nice, good trick!

Funky!

I don't know what to say....can't quite figure the guy out. Aside from that, Great Colors! Must be somewhere out West or Down South - definately not here on the East! If I have to criticize, the only thing I see is that the windows of the structure are a little overexposed - but I hardly notice because there is so much more to look at. Bravo!

Sweet duality with the box thing on the right! I feel like that most days...
Something about the angles is throwing me off; but I think I like it.

???
06/24/2002 12:42:00 AM
Interesting, but the composition needs some work.... too many subjects in focus (ie. the pink wall, the building) ; thereby distracting the viewers eye from the true subject.
