| I think this is terrific. Love the dark, moody tones of the shot combined with the severe razor-like teeth of the icicles. Creates a very dramatic effect. Great crop, focus, & DOF. Well done - should have scored higher. |

IMO, this is one of your best. The vertical lines/shapes of the icicles are contrasted with the dark shapes of the trees in the BG. I love it! Great sharpness as well.

| Nice sharp image, but I would prefer it from a different angle to add interest and also a different composition - there seems to a be a bit too much empty space on the right and bottom. I would also like it more if the background weren't so distracting, it tends to pull my eyes away from the subject. |

| Going back through to add a few comments... I chose this one because when browsing the thumbnails I noticed the neat lines you captured with the dark trees and the icicles, and the way they sort of mirror each other. But when I view the picture larger, I didn't see the lines as much since the focus is on the ice (where it should be for this challenge). I gave this one a 7... I think it's just missing a little bit of that "Wow!" factor. |
