Taken at ground level, with the 12-24 backed all the way out to 12. I think it makes for an interesting perspective.

Yes, it's fill flash (actually from a SB-600, the on camera flash gets obscured by this big lens), and yes, because it was so close to him it over exposed his face. I guess my next step should be to try to lower the levels on the face alone. Off to play more in CS!

About the horizon tilt... yes it sucks, but that's how the snap was snapped... how to fix it without also rotating the boy?

You did well in choosing a low point of view for this photograph. Taking chilren's pictures from an adult's perspective usually makes the look too small and may even distort them when you use too wide an angle.
I find your use of the flash quite interesting. I would usually not have used fill flash in such a situation (partly because it seems you were quite close), but I enjoy the final effect. It sets the child off from the background.
You are right about the face though, you might want to darken it a bit in post processing.

HOW CUTE! WE always called our kids' pacifiers their "plug." hee hee

I love the angle and the sense that the baby could be flying out of the picture with his fast crawl. LOL The tilt kind of adds interest to my eye, but I'm a bit "off" anyway. Really nicely done and I'm sure an emotional one for you!!!

I love the perspective of this shot. The placement of Dominik might have been a little further left in the frame, so that he is crawling into it, rather than out of it. I feel that the exposure on the side of his face is a little too much (was this using fill-flash?, if so, perhaps a little negative FEC?) Perhaps this could be adjusted in PS using Shadows/Highlights. Don't let any of this make you think that I don't like the shot. I love it.

He looks like a giant baby from this perspective :)

I think the face is a bit too bright (from flash?), and I would love to see him looking at the camera. Still, it is very cute. I like the feeling of movement from catching him in mid-crawl.

The slant to the background is a little distracting. Not bad. A keeper snapshot for sure!

Love the perspective of this shot! Be fun to try and reshoot this and capture him coming towards the camera. Good work.
