 I saw this dead bird on the ground and sunset coming through the window behind it, sort of shimmering on the broken glass on the floor.

great impact shot..
I wouldn't try to bring the bird out more at all..that it is a part of the building says more to me..I love your processing in this shot..really effective...too depressing to fav, but definitely good enough..

god I love urban decay. What an endless source of potent imagery.
This image is strong, but I think it could be improved by bringing out the texture on the bird a bit more, something to emphasize the death and rot and the angularity of the carcass.
