| this isnt very interesting. the blinding white cloud of doom coming in from the upper right is alarming and distracting; i hope you survived it. |

| Sewers aren't exactly my idea of sity life, but looking a the pic, nice composure, decent lighting and also nice prespective to go along with it. |

| Interesting photo, a different part of city life than most focus on. The lens flare kind of washes out some of the image. I might try focusing on a point of interest or using shallow DOF to tighten the composition and bring out detail in some part of it. |

| Where's "city life"? I know, I know... city upgrades or new homes for the less fortunate ones. But still, I miss the story. Technical side: it seems the dynamic range of your camera can't handle this composition with bright sky in the top left corner and deep shadows in the pipes. |

Ammended comment: The challenge was to take a picture of city life. Although to you this is what you have to deal with in the city, it is your experience. No one can interpret your experience. There is nothing to even indicate this is in a city. Just pipe ends - no traffic patterns around them (foot paths to show they are 'in the way'); no indication of city and in fact looks like it could be out in the woods somewhere with the weeds and growth.
Again, it may be something you personally have to deal with so in your mind this is a good fit for the challenge. But in reality no one here knows you have to deal with this and when thinking of city life, this just doesn't show it. |
