 Taken at the New Year's Eve bonfire at Aegissida, Reykjavik, Iceland. Definitely the coolest place to spend New Year's Eve (just ask Quentin Tarantino, who was there earlier that evening).

Only minor color and contrast adjustments, and a slight crop.

The backlit sitoutaion works well here. The contrast between the black silhouette and the fire as a source of light, trying to reach the face, is quite impressive. The shallow DOF is good as well.
