Okay, a stretch I guess, but when I thought of "unanswered" questions, I couldn't help but think of all the "missing people" posters we see. Where are they? Why are they missing?

And for the parents -- I can't even imagine the questions they have. Where are they? Was it my fault? Are they cold/hungry/wet/tired/scared? When will I see them again? WILL I see them again?

In this picture, I am also hoping to make the viewer ask, "Is that the same person on the poster that is standing there?" "Why is she missing if she is near one of the posters?"

I thought about calling it "So Close, yet So Far Away" perhaps showing that if the woman had just walked to the other side of the pole, she would know people missed her and were looking.

Technically, I should have used a larger aperture number I think, as my "model" is a touch soft. However, I was only able to take about 5 shots and a horrendous rain shower started (those are water drops on the poster). No chance to reshoot. :-(
Also, the poster is on a regular piece of 8.5 X 11 inch paper, but because of the position of the model, it looks like she is leaning up against the pole and the poster is huge. She was actually a couple of feet away.

This is an outstanding photo for unanswered questions. The composition is well thought out and very nicely excuted. Definately a wonderfully refreshing idea.

Your dof used seems to work well, hard to believe she isn't leaning against that pole.

If you are going to use it for anything else see if you can spot edit out the wires they don't do anything for the overall finished look.

I can't say enough how much I like this image it really is a very refreshing take on the challenge. Nicely done.

Neat idea...nice photo but the wires off to the right really distract. Points though for the concept!

now there is an unanswered question! Very neat idea, I like the accent of the rain on the poster too, and the faraway expression on her face. The tight composition keeps our attention on the question too. well done.

An interesting and original idea. The first question which jumps to mind is why is she standing there? Does she want to get found? The power lines out the back are a bit distracting, but other than that, good!

Powerful image, well captured. Phonelines leading into the face are slightly distracting IMO.

First time voting. I think everyone one of us at one time or another has been here. Unanswered questions about our life; Where did my old self go? Where do I fit in today̢۪s world? or Where will I be in the future?. Great concept. I hope I interrupted it correctly. Good work!

Good idea. Wish you shot a different angle so the power lines were not growing out of her face. Love the rain drops. Lots of unanswered questions.
