LOL Don't ask.
Shot using the same directional hookup frisca used on her off center subject shot. I shot 50, this one's the most moody.

Prediction: not going to make one. I like this shot and want it to do well.

Refreshing look at the challenge. I really like the way you have done this. The lighting works well here. Your focus is really good, every letter is crisp and clear. The dof used here works well as well, you can actually see the texture in the pages as you go down through.

Definately meets the challenge. Nicely done.

The title wasn't the question folks...thanks for playing.

("Why is there an entry for thesaurus in a thesaurus?")

@Mitonski-the paper was normal - this is all about lighting.

Nice lighting, was the paper aged before hand or is that all down ot the light? Nice that it fades to black at the corners

I'm sorry, this doesn't really make me think of a question. I could stretch and say it's an answer, but there's nothing particularly mysterious in the shot or composition. Great lighting, though.

+ Interesting verbal interpretation of challenge.
+ Good use of diagonal lines (highlight) around the text.
- Doesn't evoke an emotional response or leave me interested in viewing again.

This seems to answer the question from its own title.
