this is definitely backlighting but unfortunately it doesn't affect the subject and it's pointing straight to the lens which is distracting

I think the idea is to have the light source behind the object to highlight it - here it's on the side and doesn't really highlight the farmhouse.

the sun is the subject of the photo! I like that effect.
