Hi from the CC

First impression: The sharpness and color of the front ball is impressive. The title takes a second but is a clever touch. Back ball seems a little to out of focus and my eyes keep wandering back to it and trying to connect it to the jade.

Composition: Good crop which accentuates the relationship between the two balls. I would suggest a little more white space around the jade ball, especially to the left. I also feel the two shapes would have worked more strongly if the blue ball was moved a little to the left in your frame as well. I would like to see the blue ball just a bit more in focus.

Color and lighting: Great color, good white balance and I like the shadows cast by your lighting. More diffusion of the light to minimize reflections on the jade would have enhanced image IMO.

Challenge: both stones look like they have wonderful color and detail. I think either one would have worked well as a focal point. You met the challenge well and good luck on your next one.

I just love the foreground ball and so I keep wanting more of the rear one. I can't see what relationship you mean for the two of them and so keep feeling it would be better without the blue one.

Nice shot. Great use of DOF to create dimension in this photo. And the creative composition creates a very modern and artistic feel. I could see this hanging in the living room a contemporary home.... 7

Fun title & nice DOF. A bit less reflection on the green sphere would be nice.

I think I would have preferred the blue ball to be at the front and in focus since that's the brighter colour...

Composition is ok. The choice of subject matter is ok. The image quality is ok.
