 After trying no end of backlit plant photos, i just got my jewllery box, stuck it in front of a light and *click*. hmmm not much to it.. having said that it'll probably score higher than the ones i put more thought into :(

And yeah, i hate that seam in the b/g, but hey, its basic editing. I was using A3 photopaper as a backdrop, and it just wasnt quite big enough to avoid seams. I tried reshooting and managed to make the seams much less obvious, but none of them had quite the same quality of lighting, focus etc..wouldnt have cropped so tight on left if it hadnt been for the seam.

Lovely shot. I think it might have been more effective with only one or two items in the box.

the background is perfect, I just don't like the upper left line, it's distracting

great tones! I love the magenta against the dark tans and greys. if you could have kept the spot just to the right of the box's lid from getting so bright - or put that spot behind the lid- this would be even stronger.

not sure what that thing is on the top left...also there is a distracting line on the right...nice colour but it doesn't do it for me

the edge of the backdrop is visible on the left and is really distracting. I think if you go to the effort of making a seamless backdrop, its not acceptable to leave its edge in the picture.
