::: Critique Club :::
Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
This is why I did not enter road ... what a wonderful shot, nicely balanced colours, looks great in both thumbnail and full size.
Composition:
Well done, the composition is lovely. Take note of what the voters have said ... although they do contradict each other which does not help lots. I think that taking into account that the picture could have done without the skyline, but keep everything else may have helped in progressing it further.
Subject:
Meets the challenge well. I just love the yellow line. I can understand you wishing to lighten the barn and windmill ... but they still worked well for this level of challenge.
Technical (Colour and light):
Well lit, but natural lighting is a good thing. I think that the contrast was worked well for this entry. I can't see the dust spots maybe I am not looking hard enough.
To grow its vote?:
Think about the cropping. Apart from that I am not sure, I think it is great ...
Summary:
Fantastic shot... if only we had places like that here :)

house in background adds interest to picture that might be more ordinary; nice warm colors to offset the cold feel of winter; good job |

Nice crisp, focus on the subject. camera did well on depth of field. The shutters on the barn could use some burning however, basic editting will not allow that. Greens and browns make this pop, Love the lighting and the balance of the overall shot. Nature sure does take back what we leave behind. |

I think if the skyline was gone that the image would be more compelling. |

Perfectly acceptable and better than many in the challenge. Probably gonna give this a six, but really needs some more 'WOW' to get any highter. |

Too classic. Though that single yellow line draws too much attetion away from the entire picture. |

Interesting picture.. without the yellow line this would just be another side road. |

that plaintive yellow dash, all by its lonesome, really makes the picture for me. |
