 NOTE: I did NOT take this picture. This was taken by a friend in Germany this weekend while he was cross-country skiing. I just thought it was a really cool picture, and he has given me permission to post it here (as he's pretty proud of it as well).

He took it with an HP p&s. I did a little PS post processing for him.

Beautiful shot. We were in Germany the week before, had just finished holidays there with friends and family. Any idea what town this is? (It certainly looks like southern Germany, near the alps.)

Excellent shot. I love the icy branch in the foreground. Almost like a lacy hand!! Beautiful scenery there. Thanks for sharing.
