 I'm not sure what they are called (too lazy to run downstairs to get the name), but these are a handful of gummy-like sticks. They used to make them in little balls with a fruit in the middle, but children were choking on 'em.. anyway. I took about 8 of them out of their packages and put them into a dish (among other items, just a dish in this particular shot) and flopped them around until they were in a neato position. Then i took my little desk lamp and held the dish over it so light would shine through the gummy sticks. I stood near the sliding glass door for some natural light for the side. Then I snapped away! I'm finally figuring out settings on my camera!! Weee!

pleasing to the eye, great lines in the setup, wonderful colors, especially interesting is the new shades created by the overlaps.

I think this one is being "hurt" by having a white background behind it. The colors look a little bit more flat than they really are. (Took it into PS to see if upping the saturation would help. As soon as I did, and saw it on a grey background, I realized it was fine.) Very fun abstract.

I like this, pretty cool. good colors-- Just one thing-to me this is more 'translucent' than transparent-or semi-transparent - but there is a lot of debate going on in the forums- and it doesn't alter my vote either way. Great job and cool idea!

The arrangement of these gummi worms looks to me like impressionistic intestines. Nice use of light. I might have cropped the top either up or down, as the one worm cut off in the middle is a bit of a distraction - cropping down a bit would probably make a 640x427 pic, but the shape doesn't have much effect on this photograph.

What am I looking at? I can't imagine that these are gummy worms...they look more so like baloons filled with water. I think the lighting could've been better to produce more dramatic colors -- the pastels don't jump out at you.
