Great picture, I would have loved it that much more had the entire verse been in focus. Great interpretation of the challenge. |

The entire verse should be in focus, which would have made this more effective. |

We tend to get one of these book and glasses images every challenge. I guess its easier than actually getting out and taking an image of something slightly more interesting.
However, it tends to get repetitive and dull in the extreme after a couple of years. This may be your first attempt, but the genre is just so tired now. Please try to be a little more creative.
I'm sorry if that is a little brutal but someone has to be honest instead of just pressing '4' and skipping on to the next challenge entry. |

A shift to 'road' as the prime focus would have garnered anoter point from me, nicely done none the less. |

You definitively picked the narrow gate for this challenge. Short-term, this road may lead you to destruction:-) But, follow your instincts and make photos for yourself, not to please others. Congratulations on the brave entry that will definitively end up with strange voting curve, with 2 or 3 peaks.
As far as the choice of looking through the glasses, it is a nice prop, although you could have found some stronger lenses to accentuate this text some more by putting the rest more out of focus. This way, only the rim makes the text stand out. |

Very nice picture. I think this would've worked much better had the glasses actually contributed more. If the prescription (obviously out of control) were stronger to really change the focus to make everything else slightly ot of focus would've been much more impactive. As it is it's really nice though... |
