 I realize this was probably quite a stretch for the challenge, and that it depends heavily on the title for the story. But I liked the photo a lot and said why not - I suspect there will be quite a few open interpretations into the word "road" in this challenge anyway.

Was playing around with those miniature turtle figures in the front yard when this idea struck me. Adapted it for the challenge at the last minute. So, yeah...

simple pp:
minor levels adjustment,
cropped, resized, sharpened and added a border.

I applaud your creative urge but maybe you should have used Ninja turtles.

Interesting subject, but you should refocus on the top turtle so that he is clearly shown, as the viewers eyes are led there first.
