Purple fringing and overlit/overexposed.

Nice photo, but I don't think it fits the category of "non-domesticated mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians"

I think the foregrounded ants are a little too washed out.

Sorry but this one suffers from distorted DOF. Would have liked it better had the focus been on the front of the shot with the blur leading away. IMHO of course.

Would die minutes after I got the shot. Bleccch! But I won't hold my gross out against you. Bold interpretation!

Good subject, but the blue spoils it. Nicely composed. I think I'd consider black and white for this.

Confusing, plus not, "a mammal, bird reptile or amphibian."....2

What caused the blue shadows?

Insects, and not one of the required list given for the contest. A DNMC and is reflected in my score.

Are these ants in snow? I didn't even know they were active outdoors in winter time. Wierd. This is an unusual composition. It's very contrasty and processed looking which appears to have been an artistic choice. I kind of like the odd quality of the extremely blurred ants on the outskirts and the blue highlights resulting from the extreme level-pushing (my guess anyway). Weird and refreshing if a bit out there for the average taste.

Super idea! Oh, if only those guys in the foreground were in focus.

Appears to be completely out of focus on all of the picture and a bit overexposed on the bottom half of the picture.
