I love this. It is really a wonderful study and I would have guessed Arbus right away. The title and the subject shouts out the name to anyone who has looked at her pictures. The ears, the name of the game, and the person all fit perfectly together to tell a story. And the choker is icing on the cake.
Good job. Good luck on future challenges. Pay attention to the threads that run where everyone discusses their take on the challenge. They will give you pointers of what to expect in the voting. |

alas....i had no idea my notes weren't going to show, or i would have put "arbus" in the title. still a n00b here.... ;)
thanks for the three 10's and four 9's, whoever you are! (and everything above 4 :) i'm happy to have broken 5 on my second try....
oh, and btw....that's a picture of ME!!!! :) at last, i found use for my pockmarks (though they're not as bad as they look..i burned them in with photoshop). and i can't believe i misspelled "Twister"....bleh......
OH, and i swear i didn't even see the mickey mouse ears until after someone mentioned it to me. otherwise, i probably would have re-taken the photo with my head more centered between them and lightened them a little more so that they would show up but not be too obvious. thanks for the feedback!

Awesome shot. I love this image. I like the lighting, the feeling, the mood, the contrast, the grain. Perfect. |

This is very interesting and intriguing. The tonal qualities are good overall. The black dress seems to disappear from the the background. I would have probably cloned out the poster edge just on the upper left hand corner. |

An image with great light and shadow impact. The type that leave a general feeling of sensing the essence though not the message. Bumping up. |

I think you overdid the contrast, but the expression is good and the "unintentional" mouse-ears is something Arbus would do. |

Nice shot. The two circles above the head create Mickey Mouse ears effect for the main subject. This was, probably, intended... if so, then I don't care for the ears so much, I think that the main subject is grotesque enough even without those. |

Hmmm - who's the photographer you're attributing this to?
I do like it's quirky "off the wall" subject matter. The lighting is a tad harsh. |
