 I had a real dilemma with this challenge. There is limited wildlife left in Bahrain so a trip to the Al Areen Wildlife Park was on to find suitable subjects. I ended up with 4 viable options, several camel shots including this one, plus shots of a pair of pelicans, a young emu and a close up shot of the claws of an eagle.

In the end I decided to stay true to the desert region and use the camel. I only hope I made the right choice.

Very little post processing, minor adjustments in levels and curves, a small amount of cloning in the background.

I think you might have used a larger or smaller aperture. The way it is, it looks too deeply in focus to have a certain "effect," and not deep enough in focus to really be "sharp." It's good, but it could have been better.

Given the spirit of the challenge was to capture a shot of wildlife in its natural environment, I find it most difficult to believe that this was done with your entry. Needless to say my vote on this was very low given those circumstances. When a photo does not do its best in composition to depict actual challenge guidelines, my stadegy for voting immediately stops and it becomes a DNMC to me.
