 There are certain qualities of Kertesz's work that I've tried to capture here. Primarily the sense of aerial observation that pervades so much of his good stuff - and that of separation, of detachment. He was also intrigued by the graphic quality of photography, and by certain odd co-incidences of those elements, along with the human. I don't begin to think I've matched his work here (but then, what chance of that in any one week?). I do hope, however, that his spirit would appreciate the intent.

I think AK was more of an influence than the photographic historians would allow - to me he is the real father of street photography, though that title is more often given to Cartier-Bresson, his good friend. I think he'd also appreciate the tools used here ;-)

I really like this. I'll have to check out some of Kertesz's work. I have to admit I've never heard of him.

This image stood out to me when I browsed the entries during voting but I didn't have time to comment then and forgot to come back to it. What a delight to find it's another one of yours... I'm becoming rather a fan! This really is one of my top 3 in this challenge, indeed one of my favourites for a while.

I don't know who the tribute is to, but I trust you!
I really like the whole scene, but I think I would prefer a little more contrast in the black and whites.
there just seems to be too much "grey" in it.
but then again maybe that's what the tribute person does?
I'll never know!!!!!

I really like this composition a lot. It looks well cnceived. I really like the direcional arows and the perspective from which the image was shot. The human element , the woman walking across, seems small yet the center of attention. Very, very goof work here.

Again, another photographer I haven't heard of. But I guess that's what is making this challenge so great. This photo is great, the subject is just some everyday ordinary look out any old office window, but you made it so much more. Great composition and excellent highlights. Very nice!
