Hi! Hereâs a comment from the Critique Club.
First Impression:
Eye keeps looking for a focus point. Eyes drawn to the frame of ice not the water.
Composition:
You may have cropped too tight. Majority of your picture is blurred
Subject:
Good eyes to see the interesting subject mater.
Technical:
Find there is a tab too much blue. DOF captures the ice well, and your shutter speed adds a nice blur to the water
Suggestions:
More depth of field to include some of the rocks may have made the picture more interesting. (ie your âBeauty in Motionâ)
Summary:
Ice adds a very effective frame, but I think you need to modify the balance between âblurâ and âin focusâ

Very pretty. Wouldn't this have been awesome for the Naturally Framed challenge. I love it. The blue tones look so cold and wintery. |
