I had been thinking of submitting something in this challenge that evolves from everyone's heart. Well on that note I thought that rather than looking down to find a subject I would look up :-) ... Well here it is... a subject that I guess everyone has tried over the years.

I would have preferred a full mooon but being the monsoon season and considering the deadlines for the challenge I could not wait longer. Over that I thought this one was a nice shot bringing those moonlit nights dreams together.

Greetings from Critique Club Asit.

Lots of problems with this shot I'm afraid, though I like tthe fact that you didn't take a full moon shot (although your comments suggest that you just shot when you could, rather thna choosing this moment). I thinka partial moon gives a much stronger impression of three-dimensional roundness than a full moon, which appears so flat in photographs.

You've obviously taken the re-sizing way too far - look especially along the edge of the shadow line where the pixelation is absolutely awful. At this size, there ought to be a lot more visible detail in the craters and ridges, and there is harly anything visible here. It's also made the edge of the moon appear out of focus. I'm quite surprised with a 5mp camera with that zoom on it that you couldn't get closer to it.

I'm not a fan of commenting on borders - this is a photo site, not a design site - but you chose that colour for it and added it, and I must say that I can see no good reason for it: the colour doesn't connect with the image at all, and in fact draws the eye away from the picture.

Was intrigued also to read your comments on the other moon photos.

might be round when full, but it isnt in that shoot of yours...

I think you have enlarged this too much and the border doesn`t give anything to the image.

The color of the border is awfull, would have used one of the gray ones instead

Quite beautiful! I have spent lots of time working on my moon images and can say I am a bit jealous. I'd love to know more about your exposure...

...pixilated without a strong enought lens. If you wanted to do the full moon, you should have waited until Sunday or Monday night, when it was actually full.

I, too, did a shot of the moon. I'm sorry, but the clarity isn't very strong and the colored grain detracts from the image heavily. 4 Rob the Swash

Oh, the moon.....

The border colour wasn't such a great choice. Perhaps a smaller re-size of the picture would have sharpened the moons horizon.

boarder is really ugly
