 I'm sure lots of you guessed what it is already, and have done it yourself! But for those who don't know yet, it's a CD after a few seconds in the microwave.
It's lit by a normal desk lamp and shot close up.

Editing steps included:
Convert from raw, adding contrast
boost saturation, crop and sharpen

Yes, wait no, I've never done the microwave thing before, but yes I like your outake with a wider color range and unusual tilt better. I gave you a 6 for the record. Disliked your title because you were semi-quoting the challenge details. I resort to the dictionary for ideas regarding titles. Congrats on your 27th place in a most tough challenge.

what a great idea!! never would have thought of doing that. it's very cool. great shapes but the light is the best part - love the colours.
