You know those little candy hearts you probably gave out in the second grade for Valentines day? I took about a dozen of them, ground them up in the food processor, and did a macro shot of the pile while it was sitting on a white sheet of paper. I used my 24-70mm f/2.8 with one of my Kenko extension tubes. It was lit from the side by 1 Alien Bee B400 flash. Shot in raw, with some slight exposure and saturation adjustments. Then cropped, resized, and put in the challenge! I hope you like it.

The lighting works well because of the title, but still a bit over exposed. I like this one alot, regaurdless.

Needs more saturation.

I like the colours and lighting. Lack of strong focal point tends to make me slide my eyes right off the picture, perhaps a sharper focus on the foreground may have helped? (JMO)
