 This was a happy accident.
I was trying to get a motion-panning photo of two helium balloons. The backdrop is a small playground with a wooden fence and trees/greenery.
My husband had the balloons on the end of a fishing rod, and patiently let them go only to reel them back in again - over and over again.
The wind was driving me nuts because it twisted and spun the balloons around in a very unpredictable pattern. It was impossible to predict their speed or direction, which made the panning pretty much impossible.
Upon checking the pics on the computer, I found this one. It was much paler, but I saw potential.

I cropped it a little, increased the saturation and hit auto levels. Now I had a pretty, though blurry, abstract. Then I had the glorious idea to try oversharpening it like crazy..... bingo!!! Now it looks like brush strokes, and has a really good texture as well as color and motion.
I love it !!!!

Very interesting. Beautiful lines and colours, I'd love to know how you did this. I'm guessing some motion panning is involved?
