The desaturation is cleverly done, leaving just a touch of colour. I wold have rotated left to get the verandah posts vertical

I am a sucker for fresh snow but I don't see the "broken" here, the tree looks okay and the ground stuff looks like bushes, the red house is good, but the sign should be cropped out.

Excellent - love the contrast between the cold, grey, starkness of the scene and the splash of colour. Beautiful composition.
