Panned around a plant to create the effect of motion & excitement in a still subject. May not bode well for this challenge, but I couldn't resist.

interesting idea, but i get more a feeling of motion blur than motion panning.

an interesting effect. I like the play of light and shadow...... if panning means the subject is static and the camera is moving, then this meets the challenge....... if not.......... hmmmm

A lovely image, I just don't get the feeling of motion panning, I really like the shape / composition and colours here.

motion blur, but not really panning. It did come out really neat looking

This is a lovely unique shot, but I can't see where the panning comes in.

If this picture had any motion panning in it, I'd give it a 10.

Doesn't meet the challenge
02/09/2006 01:57:03 AM
Unfortunately, you didn't pan along with anything in this photo. There's no focal point, no subject, and nothing sharp. The light is pretty, though.

great effect and picture !! I give you an 8 !!

Sorry, but everything is blurry. Part of the challenge description says:
"bring out foreground from background"
You did not do that.

Interesting idea and image. However it looks more like a fixed position shot of an object moving back and forth rather than tracking of an object in motion to separate it from the background with motion blur, so it doesn't meet the challenge.

Looks more like motion blur than a motion panning shot.
02/08/2006 12:45:19 PM
is this motion panning?
02/08/2006 12:16:53 PM
there is still sapposed to be a subjectt in focus that show movement.
02/08/2006 07:48:43 AM
Nice composition and good effect of motion blur, but that, as far as I can tell, was not caused by motion panning.
02/08/2006 07:41:30 AM
You have to understand what the word "panning" means. I think you missed on this point.
02/08/2006 06:48:03 AM
Lovely abstract, but I think a subject is needed for this challenge to show the panning.

which thing is in focus, i.e. being followed by the camera? I can't tell.
