I like the composition and the perspective. The lighting feels a bit harsh. I would also try different angles in the lighting to avoid the light into the soundhole. |

This is an interesting shot but the lighting is a little harsh. Your dof use is more appealing than the other image you posted. I might have stopped to f10-11 and focussed on the 10th or 12th fret.
This is an early dof study that I did when I first got my D70. I beieve I used 100w bulb in a desklamp overhead.

Thanks for the review... and the blown strings isn't my preference... i was using the onboard flash on the 300d... I have a 200e, but can't figure out how to adjust the output.. still got lots to learn about the new camera |

You have one steady hand (not as much as in another shot though). Love the texture in the veneer. The crop seems just right, and so is the DOF. Strings seem to be a bit blown, but that could be a personal preference. |
