Interesting angle... I'm not sure that so much foreground is needed here. I love the softness of the background and the colors here. Nicely done!

What a beautiful winter country scene. That horse looks so striking against the muted earth tones of the hay and the winter trees in the background. This is a wonderful photo. I love it!!

I think this photo would do better with some cropping either pre- or post- processing. The foreground is too distracting.

Such a remarkable setting, wow. If it's scoring lower than you thought, I suspect it's because the real drama area of the capture isn't featured in the composition. It feels as igf there's too much foreground. There's nothing in that foreground and its dominance takes away from the best parts of the picture. Try this, crop the bottom off up to the light ground just below the bottom hay .... does it look better and more dramatic or not?
