 Driving around with a friend to survey the tornado damage in Newburgh, IN, we came across this silo. It was made of curved brick and was a lot more beautiful than what I caught here. The family was great and happy we liked the place. Plus, the flock of starlings took of as I was shooting, so it felt like it added to the background.

I've cropped the image, edited out a few phone lines, saturated the color and upped the contrast a little.

I like the color of the sky and the flowers in the forefront, but the black silo??

Love the birds and the gray sky/barn. Definitely depicts "country".

I studied this a long time. Something draws me to it. It seems so simple and unaffected which I like. The dark almost black of the red silo is appealing to me. I wonder if it would be as effective with the barn cropped out, or perhaps shot from a different angle? Well, anyway, if it evokes that much thought then it deserves at least a 7!! Good luck.
