A charming portrait with wonderful natural expression and nice composition and backdrop too but let down by focus for me. This is an image that, in my opinion, really needs a higher depth of field to give sharp focus on her hands, mouth and eyes.

Somehow the innocence of a child eating cake which an adult has obviously given her seems to be a stretch to the sin of Gluttony. Perhaps it should have been the sin of pride (not in an accusatory sense, please!) or even envy (that one can not eat what a child does and stay thin....(that too is a stretch). Just one opinion and please do not take it personally, only as my personal reaction. I am so hesitant about writing my
gut reaction here on DP.
