| under-rated for sure ... the idea is great and the cloud is perfectly subtle - there may be a bit too much noise but that's the only thing I can see. This one slipped by some people I think. |

Greetings from the Critique Club
It is always an adventure to open a new image to Critique, and this is certainly a good example of that.
It's an original, exciting picture; one that is deceptively simple, yet needs a good deal of study to comprehend. As an aside, I'm glad you Icelanders are getting enough sunlight and blue sky to manage a good image this time of year ;>)
I"m of two thoughts about the child and the cloud. The child has 'cold' tones; the cloud 'warm' tones. Obviously difficult to obtain in one photograph, but in two - there they are. Even though it is an anomaly, I like the juxtaposition. That bit of tension takes this image from a 'photo' to 'art'.
Even though you were not rewarded highly for this Challenge entry, I hope you are pleased with it. It is a good one.

| Creative. The composition is good too, I just wish that the child's right foot was on the "ground". It bothers me up there in the "air" like that. Other than that it's very neat. |

| Sweet! I like hte way the child is standing on the edge of the frame - the land is unimportant to the shot and thus excluded - very brave. I like the heart shaped cloud - I might have played around with it a touch to exaggerate the heart shape further but it's certainly discernable. Fun and different! |

| Hope this isn't too "nitpicky" but IMO, this is a great submission/concept. What keeps it from being perfect, to me, is that she appears to be floating. I don't know if that was your intent. I think there should be just a little bit of ground showing under her feet so as not to look like she was pasted in. Everything else about this is awesome & the title was especially fitting, too. |
