 Asked my roomie for ideas, she dumped out an entire bag of hearts. Found one that said 'harm me' (charm me, but with the c smudged out). Smashed it on my desk, put it on my (blue) bedsheets, pointed a desk lamp directly at it, and shot it with my friend's Rebel because my camera is temporarily out of commission.

Adjusted: curves, levels, color balance. a little bit of gaussian blur on the background to get rid of grain.

a good idea and I like the texture of the background.
but the blown out spot on the heart harms the picture considerably.

For me, the lighting is a little too harsh, but I like the composition and idea behind your image. I also like the texture of the background.

Sort of dark (meaning). Very warm colors. Nice texture. Very original.
