 The only plant we've been able to keep alive for more than a couple months. We've had it for about five years from my grandmother's funeral, and it just bloomed again this past week. I thought it would make a good B&W subject.

Very nice image. Good exposure. It's sharp. Overall, it's very stylish. This one has good contrast but maybe you could have pushed it a bit more in that direction. I really like high contrast images so take that with a grain of salt.:)

Flowers usually evoke a sexual response. This one has an outright S&M one. Beautifully lit and composed.

the simple composition of this shot is enhanced by the excellent choice of portraying it in b&w...... crisp focus...lovely reflection in the leaf - good job!

Breathtaking image. I've been through 137 images so far and this is the second 10 I've given out. Great lighting, texture and the soft duotone and black background work very well together. A well composed, professional image. Congratulations - and I hope you get a ribbon!

the blown out regions are distracting, a softer light will help... may be use some fabric in front of the lamp
