 Kapan and I took a lot of shots for this challenge. Some of the outtakes were nothing like this one and instead had Kapan with a red hat and handbag. We liked some of those shots a lot, but ended up going with this one for its raw, immediate impact and because I think it's just plain cool :)

My strategy during the photoshoots was to just sit back and let Kapan do her thing. I gave her very little direction, cuz if I did it probably would have just mucked things up. Kapan exudes style and fashion sense, so the best thing for me to do was to just let her be her without getting in the way.

Single light setup. Softbox positioned to the camera's left. Background is our living room wall :)

I just don't like the deformation and the cut in her left hand!/other features are excellent!

When I saw the thumbnail for this shot, I was distinctly unimpressed. However, this is one of those shots that looks better in full-size. There's just so much detail and colour in the shot and the impression of movement in the edges of the hair is superb, along with the expression captured. Even the cut-off elbow and hand don't detract, in my opinion. I think that this is superb.

That's a really cool shot! Congratulations. I even like that the arm isn't fully in the frame, it's almost like she's leaning towards it.

One of the best fo' sho.
VERY excellent job. Not so sure I like how her head is, but everything else, 'specially her hair is perfect. So, I gotta give you a 10.

To play a little bit of Tyra Banks here, this photo is well done. The only thing I find wrong is the model in this case is showing a bit too much neck, and too little face. Head forward and uplifted a bit would have been better. Also the left hand is doing something wierd. The hair is great. The background works, but does have some kind of mark on it to the left of her left hip. Too bad basic editing didn't allow for that to be smudged out, but it's not a huge distraction. This is in line with a few of my other top picks though. Well done.

Eyes frek me out a little. Can't tell if the catchlights are huge or if diffuse glow, etc. was used to magnify this. -9-
