| The first element I notice is the lightness of the tulip heads but that is immediately in contention for me with the grainy texture of the image. Wish that I knew whether you intended the grain to be a major element in the image or not. Regardless if it was not intended then it seems an intrusive element and if it was intended then its not used liberally enough for me to get the more abstract feeling. This image seems to hang between a grainy photo of 3 tulips and an abstract where the general idea of 3 flowers and their brightness is used to create the concept of flowers. Its a creative idea and I want to give you a good score if you were trying for a more artistic interpretation of the subject matter. I'll try to get back to this after the challenge to see what else you have in your port and see how this works into your existing shots. 6 |

| this is nice. my only nitpick is that i'd have liked just a little longer DOF, so that the stem of the first tulip was in focus. |

| I wish the tulips weren't in black and white... would it have been possible to make the duotone with more red or pink in it? |

| Simple and soft. I actually like the noise here. The tones are very pleasing too. |
