After toying with ideas about vinyl, I remembered my ZX80 hidden in the loft. This was one of the first home computers in the UK, and started me on the road to geekdom. Unfortunately he no longer works, so I found some BASIC code on-line, connected the laptop to the tv & setup the ZX80 in front, lit with a single mini lite.

Crop, levels, sat, USM, SFW.

PS If anyone knows how to fix a dodgy horizontal hold on the video o/p, I'd be pleased to hear from you :-)

Isn't that basic? I learned Basic and next year Windows was launched. :(
Lines and lines and lines.... Arghhhhh. It was useful for thinking in loops.

If there's something I had to suggest it would be to not have the sinclair appear as floating in mid air or photoshopped into the screen (probably sitting on an lcd I'm sure...) just my 2cents.

Mmmmm... I had a Spectrum... hm, actually, I had 4. They all broke eventually.
Actually, if I am not mistaken, the ZX80 had a black on white lettering, and its BASIC dialect did not support the use of GO SUBs. Not surprising given it had a 4K working memory (if I remember correctly)!
Ahhhh the memories...
