The lighting is so uneven and it makes the shot very flat.

This would be a more aesthetically pleasing photo if _either_ you lined up the shoes with the lines on the floor _or_ you laid them out so that it looks as though you _deliberately_ did not line them up. This looks like they were tossed out there and photo'd at the last minute. Also, you have a lot of glare from your lighting (flash?) and it looks like you played with the color and saturation a little too much - or perhaps not enough! Another angle might have made this a little more visually appealing - they look a little like they're in a police line-up at the moment. Not a very positive critique, I know, but hopefully I've given you some things to think about and maybe try the next time you shoot something like this.

The shoes are kind of beat up for a fashion spread. I don't like the mismatched pairing of them. Also, this looks like the contrast was increased to disguise poor focus or image quality. Sorry, this just doesn't work for me on any level. Keep trying.

For me, the lighting is a bit too harsh and on the yellow side. I'm curious how this would look if you had lined the shoes up perpendicular with the lines of the flooring.

poor coloring.

I like the use of different laces in the two lighter colored shoes, but the overall composition is too "centered". Lighting is a bit harsh.

Lighting detracts from the image - if you have a texture that is the backdrop of your image light should not focus attention to it - rather it should seperate it.
