 I adjusted my lighting to make it a little softer by covering my lamp with some paper. I moved it around a bit, so that some light would fall across onto the right side of her face in a nice triangle. I also had background issues, as my flat has fairly cheap white painted wallpaper, so I found an old headboard and covered it in black fabric to give a plain simple backdrop.

Post Processing: I simply cropped, adjusted the contrast and lowered the intensity.

I took this photo simply because I really like this aesthetic with the palour contrasted by the dark background, satin gloves and shirt.

Thanks to my friend Sarah for modelling and being very patient with me whilst I re-posed her continuously for an hour.

I don't know if it's the lighting or the post-processing, but the model's skin has a lavender tint to it that is a little odd.

She looks a bit too pale--Halloween-like. I'm not really seeing this as a fashion shot. It is more like a personal glamour, or vanity portrait.

I like her pose, eyes, and red lipstick. Something about her skin tone though - makes her look...pasty (for lack of a better word).

a bold move to use full frame..... beautifully photographed... I think a different skin tone would have worked better than the hue used.

Apperantly a comment about the color of the skin and how to correct it is unhelpful, so stuff it: removed comment.
