This is a star trails photo taken at Teakettle Junction, Death Valley, CA. It is approximately a 45 minute exposure with the North Star at the center of the trails. As the Earth rotates, the stars appear to rotate around the North Star. |

Wow, this photo was well executed by aiming the camera directly at the North Star and using the mountain as your foreground. Being a little more aggresive with the Levels would have made the image pop quite a bit more. That said, your sucessful planning and execution of such a long exposure deserves a high score. |

How did you do that?! What are "teakettle trails"? Fascinating compositon. I like it. Kind of reminds me of a modern version Van Gogh's Starry, Starry Night. 7 |
