 I had a tiny rope and a tiny net in my garage and a very tiny flashlight which I lit the subject with from various directions those 30 seconds.

I turned the photo into black & white, resized it and used usm, framed and saved for web.

Ah, good. An entry from the Icelandic contingent! It's such a beautiful island and has such nice people.

Ok, on to business. I like the composition where you fill the frame and highlight various portions of the labyrinth you have created. It is really unfortunate that the left foreground turned out-of-focus on you. This created a barrier that many of our hurried voters would likely not take the time to circumvent. They would then miss all the goodies you presented for enjoyment.

That really is the only critique I have on this image. Perhaps you did shoot this at different apertures and this was the one that suited you at the time. I'd love to see this image at, say a f5.6.

I can only wish you continued success at DPC and will look forward to seeing more of your work.

A good bit of the image is blurry but what is in focus looks really nice

The contrast and levels are fine, but there is too much blurr in the forground, IMHO.

The textures are nice and the tones are wonderful. But the large out-of-focus foreground makes the image difficult to enjoy.
