Challenge: Painting With Light II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: North Carolina
Date: Feb 27, 2006
Aperture: 5.0
ISO: 100
Shutter: 15secs
Galleries: Family, Still Life
Date Uploaded: Feb 28, 2006

Katie painted with light from the keyboard of her Cell phone. I got the idea by looking in the rear view mirror of my van while driving home at night, she was talking to her friend on her cell phone and the light from the Key pad on the phone had just enough glow. So when we got home I set up the tripod in the only nonwindowed room (The down stairs bathroom) it took us a few shots to get a nicely focused picture. 15secs sure felt like a long time to be perfectly still. But the shot turned out well.

Interesting idea to use the lights of a cell phone as your moving light source, but overall the shot is a bit too dark.

This is an amazing image. So haunting and interesting. It did need to be from a mobile light source though .. maybe you made it because it's light from a mobile ...lol
