i'm visiting your bug collection for pik your fav pic ..
this jumped right out at me as a thumb .. it is the most awesome image .. a bug with atmosphere .. doesnt get much better than this .. really .. !!..:)

Now THAT is a butterfly shot that stands out from ALL the rest! It reminds me of a kaleidoscope with it's symetry and gorgeous patterns! Just added it to my fav's. Awesome Jimmy!

Actually no - it wasn't taken at night. I had the color version posted for a while and then ran across it while converting some other images to B/W and tried it with this one. I was really pleased with the results. I think it's a much stronger piece in B/W than color. Thanks for the kind words! :-)
