I like the colours, light, and the unorthodox placement of the clouds alongside the frame's edges, with empty sky filling most of the frame. I don't like the horizontal black band in the bottom, I think that the image would be much better with it cut off (I realize that it won't be fit for this challenge then), and I don't think it adds anything to this shot. |

Agree w/ ElGordo. I am sorry this didn't place higher. It's a striking image that deserved better recognition. |

Sadly, very few recognized the artistry and quality of this image, with a huge number of insipid and inferior snapshots scoring higher. |

there's something so fantastically fake about this picture. It's like putting the sky in my pocket. 10. |

Hmmm, not sure about this. With the big black border only on the lower edge, it looks like it's a picture file that's loaded corruptly. Maybe you'll do better next time, Cindi. ;-) |

hum....I'm wondering what the black line is below our sunset? Perhaps a little too much crop? The detail you've captured in the clouds is amazing, the black void at the bottom of the shot, not so amazing. Sorry. |

Beautiful clouds and sky, but the black on the bottom bothers me. |

Man I sat here a few seconds waiting for the rest of the image to download before realising there is no more. I guess I don't have to tell you that it's gonna hurt your score.

Very cool effect. I like the simplicity of the shot - good eye. |

oops... what happened to the bottom of it?! The clouds look full of potential and the rest of the picture looks great - was the file corrupted? |

The black block at the bottom really ruins this picture for me. |

v interesting - somehow could almost be Gursky. I'm sure it'll be slated, but it's a fascinating approach. The weight across the frame works well for this crop, and the tonality is marvellous. |

Very stylish. I love the entire compostion. THe sky is a beautiful burnt orange, and there is so much detail in the clouds. I really like the black border at the bottom. |

This is one the best cloud only photos I've seen, the red duotone is really nice. I can't say I understand or like the black band across the bottom. |

I like the composition except for the featureless dark section. Maybe if there was just less of that dark part. Still, I like it! 7 |
