A longer DOF IMO would have been better for this crop, the shallow DOF does not take you far enough into the image,to impact the square crop.....6

Nice macro! I think the shallow DOF works well. your main subject is the mantis. With more DOF, I think it would take away from the focus of the mantis and put it more on the flower. As is, the eye is traines on the mantis head. Awesome capture - well done!

Not just the typical bug on a green leaf. I like the peachy and apricot tones of this one. Nice clear macro.
