Ok I guess I shouldn't have looked at this one, it just makes me want to get out of here more and move to a warmer climate :P Did I mention Im a very RARE born and raised Calgarian ;) that loves the summers but hates the cold winter... Lovely photo Roxanne!

in reviewing my comments, I found a rather glib one I made for this photo - I think I owe you a decent comment.

I think this is a beautiful photo, love the whole feeling of warmth that comes from it.

How would I make it better? I would try pushing the saturation of the blues, and I would tweak the cyan over toward the blue side (+3 or so). I think I might crop it tighter. Right now it feels like a photo of a tree with a sunset in the background a little - maybe cropping more to the sun and leaving some of the dark dark shapes out would focus the image more on the sunset?

Of course this is just me talking off the top of my head. I would print this and display it proudly in my home or office if I were you, it's really nice work.

You certainly waited for the perfect moment. The sun makes this picture work so much better.

wish you gave the sun a bit more room to breathe, perhaps that wasn't possible

Awesome sunset shot! How'd you get that without blowing out the sun? I'm guessing you have some serious ND filters? I like the silhouette of the palm tree here it really adds to the beauty of this shot. My only suggestion is that the foliage on the right side could be cropped out cloned out to create less of a distraction. Overall well done!

I think I would like this a little more if the colors were more saturated
